About
The Eliza Moore Fellowship for Artistic Excellence is an annual award for one outstanding early-career artist developing new works that address plants, gardens, or landscapes. The fellowship includes a $10,000 individual grant and requires a 2-5 week stay at Oak Spring. Fellows will have the opportunity to explore the 700-acre landscape, visit the rare book library, and engage with staff and other residents. The program encourages, but does not require, a presentation at the culmination of the stay. Eligible artists must be early-career, not currently enrolled in an undergraduate program, and demonstrate a dedication to their artistic practice with a clear connection to the natural world.
