Open Artist Call: Creating with Purpose

CREATE PURPOSE is a European cooperation project bringing together organizations from Germany, Greece, and Romania to explore how participatory art can build a more sustainable, inclusive, and livable future. Inspired by the New European Bauhaus values, the project will host three artistic residencies between May and August 2027 in Kiel, Athens, and Bucharest. Nine artists, three from each partner country, will work in international interdisciplinary teams alongside 150+ local young people aged 15–30 to co-create site-specific artworks. Each residency will focus on one NEB value (Sustainability, Aesthetics, Inclusion) and conclude with a public festival. The selected artists will participate in online training and team-building before traveling to co-create in all three host cities.
