About OpenCall Radar

OpenCall Radar exists so working artists stop losing opportunities to deadlines they never saw. We crawl open calls, residencies, grants and prizes from 30+ sources every week and surface the ones that fit your practice — grouped by urgency.

Who we serve

Practicing visual artists, photographers, filmmakers, sound artists, and interdisciplinary practitioners — people who are actively applying to calls and need a single, trustworthy surface instead of bookmarking 12 tabs. Our users are mid-career and emerging artists in Europe and North America for whom a single missed deadline can mean a year of lost momentum.

How it works

  1. 01

    We crawl, weekly

Our scheduler pulls from 30+ open-call sources every week — residency databases, grant portals, artist-run listings, national councils. Each listing is deduplicated, categorized by discipline, and tagged with deadline urgency.

  2. 02

    You tune, once

During onboarding you tell us your practice, career stage, fee tolerance and regions. That 2-minute setup drives every match you see afterwards — no infinite filter tweaking.

  3. 03

    You act, before the deadline

Daily Picks surface the most relevant calls in your dashboard. Opportunities are grouped "Closing soon / This month / Later" so urgency is obvious at a glance. Subscribers get the full list; free users get a preview.
