Sculpture, Installation and New Media Art

The Sculpture, Installation and New Media Art residency at the School of Visual Arts provides sculptors and new media artists with an opportunity to experiment with the latest technologies in a supportive environment. Artists will have access to state-of-the-art facilities including a wood shop, metal shop, plaster studio, ceramics studio, and a Fine Arts Digital Lab. Each artist is assigned a private studio in New York City's Chelsea gallery district and will engage in critiques, studio visits, and professional development with faculty members. The program culminates in an open studio exhibition for participants to showcase their work. A portfolio is required for acceptance, and technical workshops are mandatory at the start of the residency.
