- Open to visual artists born after January 1, 1993 (33 years old maximum in 2026). All media accepted except monumental works. Must demonstrate a professional approach in visual arts and contemporary art (students accepted only at the end of their course, holding a DNSEP or equivalent). For the Prix du Département, a driver's license and vehicle are required for travel within the territory.

L’Atelier Blanc, in partnership with the Département de l’Aveyron, is organizing the 16th edition of the Prix Jeune Création in Villefranche-de-Rouergue in 2026. This call aims to discover, promote, and support emerging talents in contemporary art. Three prizes will be awarded: one by the L’Atelier Blanc Young Creation jury, one by the public, and one by the Département de l’Aveyron. The laureate of the Jury Prize will receive a 4-week creative residency in Villefranche-de-Rouergue in 2027, including accommodation, workspace, production cost coverage, travel expenses, and a 1500€ creation grant. The Public Prize is 500€. Five artists will be selected to exhibit their work from October 10 to December 5, 2026, in Villefranche-de-Rouergue, and will receive 200€ for exhibition rights, with travel and accommodation covered for installation and opening. The Prix du Département for contemporary art offers a 6000€ budget for a residency and mediation project in 2027, focusing on creating artistic works related to the material and/or immaterial heritage of the Aveyron department, including artist fees, materials, and residency expenses. Applicants must be visual artists born after January 1, 1993, and demonstrate a professional approach to contemporary art. The deadline for applications is May 4, 2026.
