About
The Fair Sculpture residency programme offers two alumni of Uniarts Helsinki's Academy of Fine Arts the opportunity to work as visual artists in a school environment in autumn 2026. The two residency periods will take place from October 1 to November 30, 2026. The project aims to empower children and young people by providing professional artists in a school setting, particularly for those who do not normally meet artists or participate in cultural events. Artists will receive a free private work studio at the school, a monthly salary of €2,200, and a €500 material grant, with a work contract from Uniarts Helsinki. Willingness to share artistic practices with students is appreciated, and artists are expected to hold an open studio one afternoon each week. Applicants must be Uniarts Helsinki Academy of Fine Arts alumni currently based in Finland and will need to present a criminal records extract if selected.
