Kunstpreis des Landes Brandenburg

The State of Brandenburg is awarding the State Art Prize in 2026 to professional artists of all visual arts disciplines who demonstrate a special connection to the state of Brandenburg through their work, whether through residence, studio, or artistic creation within the state. This prize aims to recognize both established and aspiring artists who enrich and advance Brandenburg's contemporary art landscape. The Art Prize of the State of Brandenburg includes a total of five awards: three individual art prizes of 10,000 € each for outstanding artistic positions, a lifetime achievement award of 15,000 € (the Minister President's prize), and a young talent award of 10,000 € to support emerging artists. Artists can apply for the three individual prizes for outstanding artistic positions. The lifetime achievement award and the young talent award are by nomination only. Applicants must register on the digital application portal to submit their application.
