About
The Flechada β Support for First Solo Exhibitions program, organized by FLAD (Luso-American Development Foundation), is now accepting applications for its 2026 edition. This initiative aims to support emerging artists in holding their first solo exhibition by awarding up to six grants, each worth a maximum of 5,000 euros. The program seeks to facilitate access to exhibition opportunities and help new artists enter the professional contemporary art circuit. Applicants must be between 24 and 31 years old, of Portuguese nationality or have resided in Portugal for at least five years, and have no prior solo exhibitions. In partnership with ΓGORA β Cultura e Desporto do Porto, one of the selected exhibitions will be presented at the Municipal Gallery of Porto, starting in the first quarter of 2027. Other supported exhibitions may open in 2026 or by the end of the first quarter of 2027. Applications must be submitted by April 30, 2026, and require a portfolio, CV, and a project proposal.
