About
The Mondriaan Fund's temporary 'Awareness of the History of Slavery' grant supports projects that raise awareness of the history of slavery. This scheme has two trajectories: one for institutions and one for individual artists and curators. Institutions can apply to offer residencies or workplaces to visual artists, curators, or heritage professionals. Individual artists, curators, critics, theorists, and observers professionally active in visual arts or cultural heritage in the Netherlands or the Caribbean part of the Kingdom can also apply. Applicants can request between €20,000 and €50,000 for a working period of up to 12 months, with a significant portion allocated to salary or fees and up to €10,000 for travel, accommodation, and presentation costs.
