About
The Buinho Residency program, located in the scenic Alentejo region of Southern Portugal, is designed for individuals from diverse creative and research backgrounds. Since its inception in 2016, Buinho has grown significantly, offering eight distinct houses and spaces, shared and private studios, a digital fabrication workshop, exhibition spaces, a metalworking workshop for sculpture and plastic recycling, and a newly added textile lab. The program values multidisciplinary approaches and supports emerging artists seeking international visibility. Residents can explore cutting-edge technologies like 3D Printing, Lasercut, and CNC. The residency fee varies based on accommodation choice, ranging from €800 to €1200 per month, with a 50% discount for accompanying persons. The minimum duration is two weeks, and the maximum is two months. Applicants should submit a short curriculum, motivation letter, project description, and proposed dates.
