About
The Vilcek Prizes for Creative Promise in Culinary Arts, offered by the Vilcek Foundation, celebrate immigrant contributions in the United States. This program supports immigrant professionals who have demonstrated exceptional early career achievements in two Culinary Arts categories: Media & Storytelling and Food & Beverage. Three prizewinners will be selected in each category through an application process juried by panels of experts. Recipients will receive an unrestricted cash award of $50,000, an opportunity to reflect on their immigrant experience, an endorsement from culinary leaders, and a comprehensive public relations campaign. Applicants must have been born outside the United States to non-American parents, be no more than 38 years old, and have five years of professional experience in the specified fields with a strong track record of creative, high-caliber work. This opportunity is offered every 8-10 years.
