2027 Open Call for Artist-in-Residence Taipei

The Department of Artist Village Operations of the Taipei Culture Foundation announces the 2027 Open Call for Artist-in-Residence Taipei (AIR Taipei), based at Treasure Hill Artist Village. This program aims to provide professional development opportunities for artists and cultural creators, and to promote cultural and artistic exchange between Taipei and international cities. Treasure Hill, a historic settlement along the Xindian River, offers a unique environment for artistic creation with its winding architecture and spirit of 'co-living with art.' Residency durations vary: International Residencies are 8 to 12 weeks, Domestic Residencies are 12 weeks, and Overseas Exchange Residencies depend on partner institutions. Fields include Cultural Heritage, Independent Curator, Literature, Movie and Pop Music, Other, Performance Art, and Visual Art. International residents receive free studio and accommodation but must cover transportation, project production, living expenses, visa, and insurance. Domestic residents receive a NTD 72,000 creative grant and free studio/accommodation. Overseas Exchange residents receive a NTD 100,000 grant, airfare, and free accommodation/studio from partner institutions. The Taipei Puppet Theater Project Residency offers a NTD 20,000 grant, shared working space, and free studio/accommodation.
