About
We-Che Art Residency offers a special AIR program for book projects in Trevelin, Chubut, Argentina. The residency is located on a 2ha landscape with a river, close to the historic village of Trevelin and Los Alerces National Park. The program encourages artists to connect with Patagonia's natural, historical, and cultural environment. It welcomes creators and writers focusing on book-related disciplines, such as writers, poets, story-tellers, photographers, paper-artists, illustrators, and graphic-novelists. The residency provides a shared workspace with tools for hand crafting art books. The minimal duration for this residency is one month, with a fee of $1600 per resident, and extra weeks can be added for $350 USD/week. We-Che is an independent artist-run residency and does not provide financial support, but can offer official documents and invitation letters for artists seeking grants in their home country.
