About
The Sixi International Artist-in-Residence Project, launched in 2024 by the Sixi Museum in Nanjing, China, supports emerging artists and facilitates cultural exchange. The program is recruiting four artists for three-month residencies in spring and autumn 2027, focusing on themes of 'Flux and Imprints: Contemporary Echoes of Migration History' or 'Folds of Text: Cross-Media Intertextuality and Intervention'. The residency covers visa application, travel expenses, insurance, accommodation, and provides personnel and technical assistance, along with a material allowance. Artists are expected to participate in events like artist talks, workshops, and open studios, and to donate a selection of created artworks to the Sixi Museum.
