About
The SIT-PLU Residencies 2027 is a one-year program for artists and creative practitioners focusing on situated, community-embedded practices addressing socio-ecological challenges. The project, 'Situated Creative Practices for the Pluriverse (SIT-PLU)', is a Creative Europe Cooperation initiative. Four residency spots are available across three countries: Netherlands (Baltan Laboratories), Italy (Lungomare), and Spain (Idensitat, ZEMOS98). Residents will engage with specific local contexts, such as the Meuse Delta, riverscapes in Bolzano, sacrifice zones near the Besos river, or energy transition models in Galicia. The program offers an artist fee of €13,500 (travel excluded) and a production budget. Shortlisted applicants for Phase 2 will receive €500 to develop their proposals. The application process involves submitting a motivation letter, CV, portfolio, and a draft proposal. The deadline for applications is May 31, 2026, 23:59 CET. This residency encourages approaches that leave a distinctive mark on the territory, fostering community engagement and embracing diversity.
