About
Rotating AiRs is a project of international residencies and exhibitions bringing together three art centers: Hotel Maria Kapel in Hoorn (Holland), Morpho in Antwerp (Belgium), and La Capella in Barcelona (Spain). The program is born from decolonial thinking and an analysis of contemporary ecological and environmental crises, fostering dialogue among countries with strong colonial pasts and artistic contexts capable of rethinking these legacies. A public call for artists from Europe will result in the selection of participants for four residencies between 2027 and 2028. Each artist will participate in a global itinerant residency, beginning with a month-long stay in Lubumbashi, Yogyakarta, or Mexico City, followed by two months in each of the European cities (Hoorn, Antwerp, and Barcelona), culminating in an exhibition in the last city.
