About
The XR2C2 (eXtended Reality Research and Creation Center) of Université Côte d’Azur is launching its international call for applications for the 2026 XR Research and Creation Residency. This residency is aimed at experienced artists, creators, and researchers developing projects in virtual, augmented, or mixed reality, immersive installations, XR performance, or 360° technologies. The residency includes 8 to 12 weeks in Cannes, France, at the Campus Georges Méliès. Participants will receive financial support ranging from 3,000 to 6,000 €, access to XR2C2 technical platforms, and potential accommodation depending on availability. An additional production budget may be provided based on the project. The selected project must be carried out between September 1, 2026, and June 30, 2027, and will culminate in a public presentation. Applications are open from March 1 to May 4, 2026.
