About
The Museum of Chinese in America’s Performing Artist-in-Residence (PAIR) Program invites a cohort of three performing artists to develop, create, and present a new theme-based project using MOCA's resources and collections. The residency focuses on the theme of "Implied Selves" and explores how identity and self-presentation are shaped by family, culture, community, history, and social conditions within Asian and Asian American communities. Artists will participate in workshops, lead a session, and present a work-in-progress and a public presentation. The residency runs from October 12, 2026, to March 12, 2027.
