The Penland Resident Artist Program (2027 Cycle) is designed for professional craft artists at pivotal moments in their careers. This self-directed residency offers housing, studio space, and utilities for one or three years. Artists can choose between a project-based residency or a career transition residency. The program aims to support artists in advancing their studio practices and engaging with the community. Applications are reviewed by a national committee, and the deadline for submissions is June 15, 2026.
