Open Call: Inspiration Bénin – In the Heart of African Worlds

The French Embassy in Benin, in collaboration with MansA-Maison des Mondes Africains in Paris and the Beninese Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Arts, is launching the 3rd edition of the "Inspiration Bénin – In the Heart of African Worlds" residency program. This program supports contemporary creation, intercultural dialogue, and international artistic mobility for francophone artists worldwide. It aims to foster encounters, knowledge exchange, and lasting collaborations between artists, institutions, researchers, artisans, traditional knowledge holders, and local communities. The residency offers a privileged space for exploration, allowing artists to enrich their creative approach through contact with the cultural, historical, social, and contemporary realities of Benin. The program encourages co-construction with Beninese partners, knowledge circulation, and the emergence of meaningful projects for local and international cultural ecosystems. Special attention will be given to the solidity of the proposed partnership, the relevance of the project's anchoring in Benin, and its capacity to generate lasting exchanges and positive outcomes for all involved stakeholders.
