About
RedSapata Kunst-, Kultur- und Tanzinitiative announces an open call for artist residencies in 2027, focusing on innovative, multidisciplinary projects exploring themes of intersectional and queer feminism in relation to dance, art, and creative processes. The program is also open to other themes related to nature, society, politics, and the body. Selected artists will receive studio space at SONNENSTEIN LOFT or AUBERGiNE in Linz, Austria, for an approximate two-week residency, with the possibility of extending up to four weeks. Studio spaces range from 52m² to 180m². Optional accommodations are available in artist rooms at AUBERGiNE for up to four artists at a time. While the residency primarily offers workspace, artists are encouraged to seek additional funding for travel, per diems, and production costs. There is no obligation for a public performance, but residents are invited to share their work in a studio showing or submit for future performance events. The application requires a detailed residency proposal (max. 3 pages), a short biography/CV (max. 1 page per artist), and optional additional information, all consolidated into a single PDF document no larger than 5 MB. The residency period starts in 2027 and is tailored based on studio availability and artist preferences.
