The Ilias Lalaounis Jewelry Museum is extending its open call for artists to participate in the upcoming Biennale of Contemporary Studio Jewelry, titled “Body Jewelry – Wearable Marks Across the Globe.” This exhibition invites artists to showcase their contemporary artistic vision through unique works of body jewelry, entirely conceived and handcrafted by themselves in their own studios. The Biennale, scheduled for Spring 2027 at the ILJ Museum’s premises, will be enhanced by the museum’s annual educational and cultural programs. This event serves as a leading platform for contemporary culture, enriching the exhibition content with an intercultural ensemble of works from international artists. The Biennale explores both ancient and contemporary practices of body adornment, focusing on jewelry with strong semiotic and cultural significance.
