Award: $10,000 - $100,000 for other applicants, $10,000 for Challenge America applicants, $30,000 - $150,000 for Local Arts Agencies Subgranting Projects
Entry fee: Free
Eligibility: Eligible applicants include: nonprofit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3), U.S. organizations; units of state or local government; and federally recognized tribal communities or tribes. Funding in this category is not available for individuals, fiscally sponsored entities, commercial/for-profit enterprises, State Arts Agencies (SAA), or Regional Arts Organizations (RAO).

The Grants for Arts Projects (GAP) program provides project-based funding for organizations, enabling Americans to experience the arts, fostering artistic heritage, and benefiting from arts education. It also supports arts and health programs. Awards require a 1:1 cost share. Eligible applicants include U.S. nonprofit organizations, government units, and federally recognized tribal communities. Individuals and for-profit entities are not eligible. The program offers various award amounts depending on the applicant type.
