Gasworks is offering a fully funded eleven-week residency in London for an early-career artist based in Indonesia. The residency runs from 7 April to 23 June 2026 and aims to support professional development, cultural exchange, and artistic experimentation. The program is self-led, non-prescriptive, and process-based, allowing the selected artist to research and develop new work, engage with London, and build networks. Administrative, pastoral, and curatorial support will be provided throughout the residency. The opportunity includes studio visits, an Open Studio event, visibility through a dedicated residency page, and a video interview. Applicants must be early-career contemporary visual artists based in Indonesia with at least a moderate level of spoken English. Priority will be given to those who have not had the opportunity to work in London before. Collectives or duos are not accepted, and partners or children cannot be accommodated, though accessible accommodation can be arranged if needed. The deadline for applications is 6 October 2026.
