/ecm – /educating/curating/making Postgraduate Program

The /ecm study program in Exhibition Theory and Practice at the University of Applied Arts Vienna is a two-year postgraduate program. It provides comprehensive knowledge and skills in the expanded field of museums and exhibitions, experimenting with various methods of curatorial research, theory, and practice. The program aims to challenge the canon, occupy exhibition spaces and the public sphere, and democratize museums and collections. It offers two paths: an extra-occupational Master’s program with a master’s thesis, and a university course with a practice-based research project. The next intake begins in October 2026.
