The State of Berlin offers cultural exchange scholarships for residencies in Istanbul, Tokyo, New York, and Paris. These scholarships are designed for the artistic development of professional artists in various disciplines, including visual arts, music/composition, literature, dance, and comic art. The program aims to enable artists to gain an understanding of the local culture, study the art scene, establish contacts, exchange ideas, and realize an artistic project. Partner institutions provide studios or studio apartments for the duration of the residency, which can be 3 or 6 months.
