Call for grant applications in 2027

Phileas – The Austrian Office for Contemporary Art invites museums, biennials, and art institutions to apply for grants to support international projects featuring Austrian and Austria-based artists in 2027. Over the last ten years, Phileas has provided funding to 154 projects around the world, enabling the production of more than 270 new artworks. Applications are welcomed for projects taking place in 2027. Requirements include that applications must be submitted by non-profit art organizations outside of Austria, projects must present the work of an Austrian or Austria-based artist, and projects must open in 2027. The deadline for applications is Tuesday, September 15, 2026. Further information and detailed funding criteria are available on the Phileas website.
