CALL FOR ARTWORKS: MILAN MACHINIMA FESTIVAL OPENS THE CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS FOR ITS TENTH EDITION

The Milan Machinima Festival has opened its call for submissions for its tenth edition, focusing on machinima, game-engine cinema, and moving-image practices using virtual worlds. The festival seeks works that explore machinima as a field of formal inquiry, political reflection, and audiovisual invention. Selected works will be part of a program that examines how artists use simulation, code, and computational space to engage with contemporary issues. Hybrid forms, speculative works, essayistic videos, ambient pieces, and experimental documentaries are encouraged, especially those that challenge narrative, image-making, and digital representation conventions. A Critics’ Choice Award will be given to the most groundbreaking contribution, determined by an international jury.
