About
The City of Georgetown Arts and Culture Program is requesting design proposals to update three utility boxes within the Downtown Georgetown Cultural District. The goal of the Utility Box Art Project is to use utility boxes as canvases for works of art to contribute to the vitality and attractiveness of the Downtown Georgetown Cultural District. A digital image of the artwork will be used to produce a vinyl wrap that will be printed and installed by a professional printing company. Successful proposals will foster community pride and contribute to a sense of identity for the citizens. Artists selected will receive a $500 stipend upon installation of the artwork. Installations will take place in August 2026.
