About
The MQ Artist in Residence Studio, in partnership with tranzit.org/ERSTE Foundation, invites artists and curators from Central, Eastern, and Southeastern Europe to apply for a two-month residency in Vienna. The program focuses on research and in-depth exploration of individual artistic questions, offering a break from production pressure. Each residency includes a €1,300 monthly stipend, a travel grant of €300 (or €500 for non-EU participants), and a studio/living space at MuseumsQuartier. The program is open to artists and curators from Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Ukraine, with fixed residency periods throughout 2027. Applicants who have previously participated in this residency or other ERSTE Foundation-supported educational programs will not be prioritized.
