About
The Bennett Prize is holding an open call for Round 5 of its biennial competition for women figurative realist painters. The top prize winner will receive $75,000 and a solo exhibition at the Muskegon Museum of Art (MMA) in Michigan. Ten finalists will be selected to participate in a traveling exhibition titled *Rising Voices*, organized by the museum, and one runner-up will receive $10,000. The prize was established in 2018 by Steven Alan Bennett and Dr. Elaine Melotti Schmidt to uplift artists who have not yet received full recognition, supporting both new talents and those who have painted for decades by offering opportunity, visibility, and momentum. The jury process includes in-person studio visits.
