The HFBK Hamburg offers the Duisburg Residency Scholarship for 2027, a one-year residency program for cultural professionals under 40 from across Germany. The scholarship enables recipients to live and work artistically in Duisburg starting in January 2027. It includes a free studio, an apartment, a Deutschlandticket, a solo exhibition, and an accompanying publication of the works created. Eligible applicants are artists under 40 from Germany, cultural professionals in visual arts, photography, illustration, performance, or video art, who have completed their studies or training at least one year prior. Candidates must demonstrate an interest in living and working in Duisburg and explain its relevance to their artistic practice. The deadline for applications is August 31, 2026.
