Aufenthaltsstipendium 2027

The City of Duisburg, in collaboration with the Interessensgemeinschaft Duisburger Künstler, is offering its ninth residency scholarship for 2027. Cultural professionals under 40 from across Germany are invited to apply by August 31 for a free studio in the Rheinhausen district. The one-year residency, starting in January 2027, also includes an apartment, a Deutschlandticket for public transport, a solo exhibition, and a publication of the artist's work. Applicants can be from the fields of fine arts, photography, illustration, performance, or video art. The study or training must have been completed at least one year prior. Applications must be submitted digitally to the Cultural Offices of the City of Duisburg. An independent expert jury will decide on the scholarship award, with the recipient announced at the end of October. Applicants must explain why Duisburg is the right place for their artistic work.
