About
The SALETTL Residency Program, now in its fifth year, invites professional artists for a four-week site-specific residency at the Kleine Stadt Farm in Vienna's 22nd district, Donaustadt. The residency runs from August 17 to September 13, 2026, with a final public presentation on September 11. This year's theme is 'excess', encouraging artists to explore extremes and challenge norms within the context of the community farm, which is shaped by neighborhood, nature, children, animals, and voluntary work. The program offers a €1,800 grant and a combined studio and living space in a renovated 'Pferdestall' (horse stable), approximately 65 m² with a small kitchen and Wi-Fi. Artists will share a toilet, bathroom, and washing machine in additional buildings. The farm is located near the Lobau-Donauauen national park with good public transport connections to the city. Applications require a portfolio, CV, and a project description, and are due by April 30, 2026.
