About
The Mississippi Arts Commission's Artist Fellowship program honors Mississippi artists who demonstrate the ability to create exemplary work in their chosen field. The agency awards fellowships of up to $5,000 in multiple categories each year. This program is not project-based and does not require a cash match. Professional artists living and working in Mississippi are eligible to apply. Applicants must be over 18 years of age, not full-time students, and permanent, full-time, legal residents of Mississippi. Fellowship categories for FY2027 include Literary Arts (Fiction and Poetry), Multi-media and Filmmaking, Performing Arts (Music Composition, Dance Choreography, Theatrical Design, Theatre Director), and Visual and Design Arts (Painting, sculpture, works on paper, photography, Fashion Design, Graphic Design, Public art).
