About
The AoCG x YCM program is an international Artist-in-Residence exchange format between Austria and Taiwan, implemented in cooperation with OÖ Landes-Kultur GmbH (OÖLKG), the New Taipei City Yingge Ceramics Museum (YCM), and Gmundner Keramik. The program aims to promote contemporary ceramic practice, artistic research, and intercultural exchange. Artists with a connection to Upper Austria have the opportunity to further develop their work in the context of an internationally renowned ceramic institution and gain new perspectives. The program is based on a bilateral cultural agreement and serves as a platform for production, research, mediation, and exchange in an international context. The YCM in New Taipei City is Taiwan's first ceramics museum and an internationally significant center for research, education, and contemporary ceramic culture. With its attached International Residency Center, it offers fully equipped work infrastructure (studios, workshops, educational spaces) and provides insights into the traditional ceramic city of Yingge, Taiwan's largest ceramic center.
