Award: Golden Alexander “Theo Angelopoulos” – Best Full-length Feature Film Award (€10,000 cash prize); Silver Alexander – Best Director Award (€5,000 cash prize); Best Actor Award; Best Actress Award; Best Screenplay Award or Best Artistic Achievement Award. For Meet the Neighbors+ section: Golden Alexander “Michel Demopoulos” – Best Full-length Feature Film Award (€10,000 cash prize); Silver Alexander – Best Director Award (€5,000 cash prize); Best Actor Award; Best Actress Award; Best Screenplay Award or Best Artistic Achievement Award. For Film Forward section: Golden Alexander – Best Full-length Feature Film Award (€8,000 cash prize); Silver Alexander – Best Director Award (€4,000 cash prize); Best Screenplay Award or Best Artistic Achievement Award. For Immersive: All Around Cinema section: Golden Alexander-Best Immersive International Competition Award (€2,000 cash prize). LGBTQI+-themed films vie for the Mermaid Award (€3,000 cash prize).
Entry fee: 40 euros (early-bird until May 31, 2026), 60 euros (from June 1, 2026), Free for Immersive/XR projects
Eligibility: Open to first or second feature-length fiction films from across the globe for the International Competition; first or second feature-length fiction films from Greece's extended neighborhood for Meet the Neighbors+ Competition; first or second feature-length fiction films characterized by their innovative approach to cinema for Film Forward Competition; Immersive/XR films for Immersive: All Around Cinema Competition.

Submissions are open for the 67th Thessaloniki International Film Festival, which will take place from November 5 to November 15, 2026. The festival features four competition sections: International Competition, Meet the Neighbors+ Competition, Film Forward Competition, and Immersive: All Around Cinema Competition. Various awards are offered, including cash prizes for Best Full-length Feature Film and Best Director in each section, as well as awards for Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Screenplay, or Best Artistic Achievement. Immersive/XR projects have a separate submission deadline and are free of charge. The festival also includes sections like Open Horizons, Survey Expanded, Special Screenings, Out of Competition, 'Round Midnight, and NextGen for films focusing on children and teenagers.
