$4,500 & $1,000 Artist Grants | The Hopper Prize Spring 2026

The Hopper Prize is accepting entries for its Spring 2026 grants, offering $13,000 USD across six grants to visual artists and photographers. Two artists will receive $4,500 each, and four artists will receive $1,000 each. These are unrestricted cash grants, allowing recipients to use the funds as they choose. The prize aims to advance artists’ careers by providing financial support and increased visibility. Beyond the grants, 30 artists will have their work archived on hopperprize.org, and select submissions will be featured on their Instagram, reaching over 165,000 followers. Grant recipients and shortlisted artists will also have the opportunity to publish an interview in the Hopper Prize Journal, "Insights into Contemporary Art." The application process is designed to be simple, requiring name, email, optional Instagram username, up to 10 image or video attachments, artwork captions, and optional artist statement and biography. The submission fee is $40. The Hopper Prize supports artists from diverse cultural backgrounds at all stages of their professional careers, welcoming entries in all media.
