About
The Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten offers a prestigious 2-year post-academic art residency in Amsterdam. Founded in 1870, it annually hosts approximately 50 artists from over 30 countries. Each resident receives a private studio ranging from 50โ100 sqm, a monthly living stipend of โฌ1,500, and a production budget. Residents also gain access to exceptional workshops, including woodworking, metalworking, ceramics, digital fabrication, and photography, and benefit from twice-yearly studio visits from an international roster of advisors. The program provides a supportive environment for artists to develop their practice. The deadline for applications for the 2028โ2029 residency is February 1, 2027. Approximately 50 spots are available.
