About
Vashon Artist Residency offers artists time, space, and resources to create and connect on Vashon Island, Washington State. The self-directed residency welcomes artists at every career stage, working in visual, literary, performing, media, and interdisciplinary arts. Each session hosts up to seven artists, providing a private bedroom, private or shared bathroom, communal kitchen, and 24-hour access to a dedicated workspace. Residents receive a $500 artist stipend, and Access Stipends are available to help cover travel, materials, shipping, and food expenses. The residency offers a sliding-scale fee structure, with full fees being $2,550 for four weeks and $1,275 for two weeks. Applicants must be at least 21 years old and not currently enrolled in a degree program.
