## Description

The VMFA Aaron Siskind Award for Photography, sponsored by the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, celebrates Aaron Siskind’s artistic legacy and supports photography as a vital means of creative expression. This award is intended for early- to mid-career artists and established photographers who have demonstrated a sustained commitment to their practice. Two artists will each receive an unrestricted prize of $25,000 to complete a meaningful body of work, such as a photographic series, exhibition, monograph, or book project. Applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents, at least 18 years old, and photography must be their primary vocation.
