## Description

The Anderson and VCUarts present "Soft Armor," a juried exhibition aimed at uplifting and showcasing the work of disabled students within the VCUarts community. Curated by disabled students for disabled students, the exhibition emphasizes two-dimensional and wall-hanging work, with limited spots for larger installations, sculptures, and craft-based pieces. The theme explores the protections individuals build to survive, including mobility aids, coping strategies, humor, rage, and softness. Applications are open to VCUarts students who identify as disabled, chronically ill, or neurodivergent.
