## Description

The SPRENGEL PRIZE 2027, awarded by the Niedersächsische Sparkassenstiftung and the Niedersächsisches Ministerium für Wissenschaft und Kultur in cooperation with the Sprengel Museum Hannover, is now open for applications. This biennial award aims to strengthen fine art as a medium for European understanding. The prize includes a travel scholarship "NIEDERSACHSEN IN EUROPA" for up to six months between January 1 and June 30, 2027, to a European country. Applicants should submit an artistic project and detailed plans for their proposed trip. The prize is endowed with €25,000, with €12,500 specifically for travel, accommodation, and living costs, and €12,500 as direct prize money. Following the international stay, the recipient will have a solo exhibition at the Sprengel Museum Hannover, accompanied by a catalog documenting their work and experience abroad.
