## Description

The Sobey Art Award, administered by the National Gallery of Canada and the Sobey Art Foundation, announces its 2026 shortlist, featuring six visionary Canadian artists. These artists are recognized for their diverse creative practices, ranging from land-based pedagogy to architectural sculpture and ancestral materiality. The award aims to promote new developments in contemporary visual arts and support artists' careers through financial aid and recognition in Canada and internationally.
