## Description

This three-week Indigenous Music Residency, titled Mâwacihitowinihk Nikamowak (Plains Cree for "they sing at the gathering place"), focuses on collaboration, refinement, and presentation of musical work through audio production and live performance. It invites musicians of various genres to develop nearly completed or finished songs with support from faculty, peers, and Banff Centre's audio production team. Participants will enhance performance skills, deepen understanding of music production, engage in workshops and one-on-one sessions, and have 24-hour access to studios. All Indigenous arts participants receive a scholarship covering 100% of the total fee, meal plan, and accommodation. A food stipend is provided, and a recording session with the audio production team is included for non-commercial use. The application fee is $35 CAD for Indigenous applicants.
