## Description

ART56° is an artist residency with an open studio located at Æ Tysk’havn in Hvide Sande, Denmark, established to promote art and creative work. The residency offers practicing artists the opportunity to apply for a 14-day stay during the summer half of the year, providing 50 m2 of living and studio space. In return, resident artists are expected to keep the studio open to visitors five afternoons a week (Saturday to Wednesday, 13:00 to 17:00). While the stays are sponsored, a mandatory cleaning fee of DKK 1,000 and a deposit of DKK 1,400 for utilities (electricity, heating, water) are charged. The program values both technical skill and the ability to communicate art, and welcomes applications from artists of all nationalities. The application deadline for the next season is November 30, 2026. Applicants should submit a motivated application of max 300 words and a link to their website or online portfolio.
