## Description

The Graham Foundation offers two Carter Manny Awards annually: a Research Award for PhD candidates at the research stage of their doctoral dissertation and a Writing Award for those at the writing stage. The Research Award supports research essential to the doctoral project, covering costs for travel, documentation, materials, and other research and development expenses. The Writing Award primarily facilitates a period of uninterrupted writing for advanced doctoral candidates, though some funds may be used to conclude research.
